THE UNITY PROJECT
THE UNITY PROJECT
THE UNITY QUILT -Is the first of many efforts to unite community during this difficult time of increased poverty, dwindling economic resource, and declining education. The arts are always the first to go, so we need a community of creators; artists, authors, poets, performers, activists, educators, and everyday people to bind in unity to help our earth and each other. So let's begin forming stronger bonds through the arts, such as through quilt making.
Learn more about the historical context of quilt making and humanity.

THE UNITY QUILT
The Unity Quilt will start at The Community Arts Workspace in Hacienda Heights.
Please bring fabric squares no smaller than 22w x 9h.
22 w x 18 h are excellent if you want to cut them down.
Or bring an old T-shirt, jacket, blanket, etc...you thought of throwing out. We will repurpose it.
Feel free to bring extra old
T-shirts for cutting up and using on the Unity Quilt. The IE Hope Collective will be going to a Foster Youth Group Home to continue this project and donations are welcome for extra fabric.
And if you are on need of fabric, don't worry we have extra squares for you too.
